In the spring of this year the Consumer Pain Advocacy Task Force (CPATF) was formed to develop a plan for joint action to mobilize support for the implementation of the National Pain Strategy Report, recognizing the importance of a unified voice in the consumer pain community. The Task Force consists of leaders from 15 organizations and is supported by the State Pain Policy Advocacy Network (SPPAN), a project of the American Academy of Pain Management.
The Task Force is currently developing a plan of action for the organizations involved, their constituents and the public. PAINS is part of this important Task Force and will keep PAINS’ members informed, so others can join these critical efforts. Stay tuned!
